Here at Top Gear Philippines, we love us a nice restored classic. Especially the ones captured on camera.
We enjoy watching a restoration job just as much as we enjoy looking at a fully restored car. We appreciate how an old machine is taken apart, repaired, cleaned up, and eventually put back together. It’s as if we’re looking at the beginning of the second (or third, or fourth, etc.) life of an automobile.

If you, like us, enjoy watching car restoration videos, then take a look at this one we just found. It’s from YouTube channel Classic Car Restoration Garage featuring what appears to be the channel owner’s newest hand-me-down: a 25-year-old Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV.

It’s quite special, though, this one. It’s not just your typical restoration job. It’s the old car of the channel owner’s mentor. The video description reads: “It belonged to my mentor, the man who introduced me to this world. Today, he passed the EVO4 down to me, and I’m bringing it back to life. This is more than a restoration. It’s about memories, passion, and the dream that never fades.”

He shared how this car was the car that made him fall in love with tuning after he saw it for the first time 25 years prior to this. Suffice to say, he did it justice with this meticulous restoration job. The attention to detail here is impeccable—no piece left unchecked, and everything handled with extreme care and caution.
The video’s nearly an hour long, but it’s worth your time. We assume this is months’ worth of hard work compressed into one solid video. Check it out below.
