Well, here’s a setup that brings new meaning to the term ‘cafe racer.’
A new mobile coffee shop in Cebu City named The Coffee Mobile (makes sense) is bringing its brews to customers via a motorbike that turns into a pop-up cafe. The business, onboard a Yamaha RXT 135, recently dropped by a local tattoo parlor to serve everything from pour-over coffee and cold brews to espressos. Look:
Some coffee prior to getting a tat? Not our cup of tea—we don’t want to be on edge while a needle is poking into our skin. If its products taste as good as its business looks, though, we wouldn’t mind having a cup or two regardless of the occasion.
The Coffee Mobile sometimes rolls out with a different setup, too: A beautiful old-school Volkswagen Kombi. Check it out:
We see two major draws here. First is that, well, this is one Instagram-worthy business model. And second is that outdoor setups are the way to go during the time of COVID-19. The open air, a cool breeze, and a nice hot cup of coffee? Sounds good to us.
Frankly, we won’t be surprised if we see more of these setups pop up under the new normal. Would you like to see one of these riding around your neighborhood?
