You’re probably familiar with the iconic Toyota AE86. You know, the humble front-engined, rear-wheel-drive Toyota you used to watch (or read) in Initial D when you were a kid. Who could forget?
If you, like most of us here, fell in love with the hachi-roku back when you were just starting your lifelong love affair with cars, then we have something for you: a Pandem Toyota AE86. This, ladies and gents, is what you get when the legendary Kei Miura lays his hands on the all-time JDM favorite.
One look at this thing and you already know it’s a Pandem/Rocket Bunny creation—just check out those wide, riveted fenders and those big-ass wheels. Heck, even the rear spoiler has the same riveted finish, too.
You might have also noticed the barren interior that houses nothing but a pair of racing seats. We don’t have any details on the powertrain, but judging by these photos, this AE86 seems like it was built to go pretty fast. Oh, and if you watched the short clip above, you’d know that the car looks and sounds the part.
To our surprise, this wasn’t the first time Miura-san applied his golden touch on the famous Toyota. Do a bit of digging and you’ll come across one of his previous creations from a month ago. Check it out below:
Pretty nasty, huh? What do you think? Do tell us in the comments. And while you’re at it, you might want to check out this Pandem Toyota Hilux, too. Enjoy.
