We’d usually cringe at additional aftermarket hood ornaments adorning relatively modern cars, but there’s something about this little Labrador with a pheasant in its mouth that just works on this particular L322 Range Rover.
That’s chiefly because this 2006 Rangie and its miniature canine companion were originally owned by the late Queen Elizabeth II, which is why it’s finished in the excellent ‘royal household colors’ of Tonga Green paint and Sand Oxford leather. Clear glass, too, plus extended walnut trim. Very classy.

There are also some special royal mods, with Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations division fitting side steps, mud flaps, a cargo liner, rear grab handles, and a dog guard for the royal pooches. There’s also upgraded internal wiring to allow for the use of extra security kit. It’s also the only supercharged L322 Her Majesty ever owned. So yep, it’s got the big 4.2-liter V8.

The best bit? You could now own this particular car, because it’s coming up for auction at Iconic Auctioneers’ Silverstone Festival sale.

The Rangie currently has around 193,120km on its clock, and there are plenty of pictures of it in service with Queen Elizabeth II from its time at Windsor Castle. And yes, we know it was based there from the service history.
We’d be surprised if there was an L322 out there in better condition with this many miles on it. Although that’s reflected in the auction estimate, of course. It’ll apparently go for somewhere between £50,000 (P3.8 million) and £70,000 (P5.34 million).
