In case you haven’t heard, Robinsons Forum is shutting its doors permanently on May 1. This is definitely sad news for shoppers who have frequented the mall because of its convenient location along EDSA for the past 18 years, but they won’t be the only ones impacted by this closure.

As many of you know, parking slots are prime real estate in Metro Manila. Many office employees turn to mall parking lots situated near their workplace to keep their rides sheltered. With Robinsons Forum serving as the go-to spot for employees around its immediate vicinity, its closure will come as a major inconvenience to many white-collar workers.

FYI: These are NAIA’s parking rates for 2022
MMDA: Full road closure from Diosdado Macapagal Blvd. to Buendia from April 22 to 24

Thankfully, there are alternatives. Check some of them out below:

Robinsons Forum parking alternatives

  1. Robinsons Cybergate 2 parking - P170 for 12 hours, then P20 per succeeding hour
  2. Robinsons Cybergate 3 parking - P170 for 12 hours, then P20 per succeeding hour
  3. SM Light Mall parking - P30 for the first three hours, then P30 per succeeding hour
  4. Mayflower parking lot, Greenfield District - P50 for the first three hours, then P10 per succeeding hour

The last item on that list, Mayflower, is a couple of minutes away from Robinsons Forum’s immediate vicinity, so take that into account if you plan on walking to your office from there.

Also worth mentioning is that you can try and look for residents of nearby condominiums or apartments looking to rent their parking space out. Our assistant managing editor Jason Tulio was able to rent at just P2,500 per month for a couple of years—though this was obviously with a friendship discount applied.

You can always try taking public transportation, too, instead of driving your vehicle to work. As we mentioned, Robinson’s Forum is situated right next to EDSA, and the MRT-3 line’s Boni Station is just a short walk away.

So there you have it. Do you plan on parking at any of these alternatives when Robinsons Forum closes on May 1?
