Here at Top Gear PH, we love reading about rare cars. While most of the ones we hear about are vintage models, it's just as nice to read about modern rides that are unique in some way. Each car we come across has its own story of how it came to be in the hands of its owner.

Late last year, Nissan released a limited edition version of the Rogue (the US version of the X-Trail) to tie-in with the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Only 5,400 units were planned for production exclusively in the United States and Canada. One of the lucky few to get his hands on one, we've just learned, is a fellow Filipino

Ariel Skulstad Valenova immigrated to Canada two years ago to join his wife. We got in touch with him to ask how his decision to buy this rare Rogue came about.

He explains: "Una, fan ako ng Star Wars, lalo na wife ko. Nagandahan kami nung makita namin sa showroom. Dapat basic na Rogue lang, pero nung makita namin lahat ng details niya, nagustuhan namin."

And there's a lot to like about the car. "Paborito ko yung manibela kasi parang Formula 1 yung steering wheel, at tsaka yung shifter, moon roof, at yung mags. Also, maluwag ang leg room," he says.

Since leaving the showroom, Mr. Valenova has added a clear coat to the Magnetic Black paint because he's very fond of the color. His favorite part about his Rogue, however, is the collectible that came with it.

"Higit sa lahat, may helmet!" he shares. Spoken like a true fan.

Check out the photos here for a closer look at the details that make this Star Wars-themed SUV so damn cool. Enjoy your ride, Mr. Valenova, and may the Force be with you!
