This is a special Launch Edition Jeep right here, but it’s not quite the Gladiator you may have expected. The black SUV you see is a Wrangler custom-built by Sterling Automotive Design, and boy does it look beautiful.

It sports a black-on-black body color that exudes a premium vibe. The exterior changes here include the 17-inch Pro Comp wheels clad in Davanti all-terrain tires and housed by widened wheel arches, as well as the custom front grille. There’s also a custom Sterling Automotive rear spare tire cover to boot. But as elegant as it is to look at from the outside, we’d like to think the Wrangler’s cabin is the real star of the show here.

The interior is fitted with a plethora of elegant 3D-paneled perforated leather, from the front seats to the rear, all the way to the center armrest. Meanwhile, the dash, gear shifter, and side panels have been wrapped in smooth Alcantara. The Wrangler doesn’t really have a spacious cabin, but this one’s about as luxurious as any Jeep cabin can get.

Under its hood, the Jeep Wrangler Launch Edition packs a Euro-spec 2.2-liter diesel engine that generates 197hp. The powertrain is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. It does 0-97kph in 8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 180kph. Not too fast, but not bad for what’s supposedly a rugged off-roader.

What’s your take on this bespoke Jeep Wrangler? Do you think it’s worth its £52,995 (about P3.33 million) price tag?
