No insane jumps, no cliffside drifts, no heart-pounding drone footage—we still think we may have stumbled upon the craziest car stunt of 2020 here. Ken Block better watch out.
A bunch of dudes recently took a massive eight-wheel pickup truck dubbed Monstermax for a dip in Florida recently, drawing a ton of attention not just from dumbfounded onlookers, but from government authorities as well.
According to the WhistlinDiesel YouTube channel, the police, coast guard, and even personnel from the US Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Natural Resources were called in because of the stunt. By the look of it, getting the vehicle through red tape and into the water was just a big a challenge as getting it to float. Watch:
“Maybe next time people won’t doubt me lol,” the YouTube channel says in its video description. “Tik Tok and Facebook were covered with a truck driving at Long Boat key in Bradenton yesterday. Definitely, the most insane thing we’ve done yet haha.”
This was definitely one hell of a production. Besides the numerous cameras and personnel involved, the ocean-truck (is this what we’re calling it now?) was accompanied by a boat and even a helicopter. Crazy stuff.
A badass truck that floats in water? Frankly, this might still come in handy. Remember: There’s still a little over a month left in 2020. If we were these dudes, we’d keep this vehicle ready just in case.
