Have you taken a deep breath along EDSA lately? Frankly, it shouldn’t take a doctor to tell you that the air we’re taking in these days leaves a lot to be desired.

If you’re looking for a more lavish way to keep pollution out of your lungs during morning commutes, then Dyson—yes, the company that makes those insanely expensive vacuums—has a proposition that might convince to upgrade from your standard facemask.

Say hello to the Dyson Zone. Essentially, the product is a pair of noise-canceling headphones with air purification. And as with all things Dyson, the Zone has a price tag that will strike fear into your bank account: $949.

That’s more or less P52,000. But, as with all things Dyson (again), the thing’s design is absolutely top-notch—at least if you don’t mind looking like a long-lost member of Daft Punk.

Each of the zone’s ear cups houses a compressor that feeds air straight to your nose via a snorkel-like delivery device. Said air passes through dual-layer filters that, by some engineering miracle, manage to fit inside the product. Each Zone also features noise-canceling technology and the ability to deliver “pure, rich audio.”

Man, you know the air is bad when products like this are starting to hit the market. Something tells us Dyson won’t be the last company to sell these things, too.
