Car brands partnering up with fashion houses is nothing new. As a matter of fact, we’ve seen plenty of watchmakers collaborating with carmakers, enticing gearheads who also have a soft spot for collecting classic timepieces with their offerings.
This season, Italian luxury fashion house Versace has dropped its new high-top sneakers designed in collaboration with American carmaker Ford. The sneakers were first revealed at Milan Fashion Week as part of Versace’s Fall/Winter 2019 collection.
The new pair has a front lace-up design, with the white leather upper peppered with Ford logos. It also features a blue midsole with Versace branding. The fashion house’s iconic Medusa logo can be seen at the bottom of the sneakers.
Versace’s collaboration with Ford hopes to evoke the “excitement of buying your first car” according to Donatella Versace, chief creative officer of the brand.
