There are a lot of various motorcycle models available in the market these days, we know, but hear us out—we still have a bunch of bikes that we wish we had here. Honda, for example, has quite a few.
There’s the Forza, the dearly missed Scoopy, and of course, the ever-popular Super Cub. The list goes on, and recently, there’s been a new addition: The CB125R. Honda just gave its small naked bike some updates, so it’s now gotten on our radar.

The CB125R is exactly as the name suggests. It’s a baby version of the CB650R and CB1000R models. Seeing as we already have the CB150X, CBR150R, and ADV 160 here, which are all smaller versions of different bigger Honda bikes, anyway, then why not add to that stable? Sure, this one doesn’t scream like the four-cylinder big bikes it’s derived from, but it sure does look good. That neo sports cafe design is on point.
For 2024, Honda has equipped the bike with a five-inch full-color TFT LCD instrument cluster with a matching four-way select switch. Honda has also added Candy Carribean Blue Sea to the range of color options. There’s still the Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic finish available, but this one now gets blacked-out front forks and wheels.

Mechanically, there aren’t any changes, so the bike retains its old 124cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that churns out 14.7hp and 11Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
Honda Philippines (HPI) no longer sells small-displacement CB models in our market—no CB110 or CB125F—so this does seem like a really good fit here. What do you guys think? Should HPI consider bringing this in?
