Well, that was quick. Just a few weeks back, Honda shared images of its fully electric naked bike undergoing testing. Now, it has unveiled the electric motorcycle without all the camo and in all its glory—and it looks quite good.
Meet the Honda WN7, the Japanese brand’s first electric motorcycle. ‘W’ is derived from the concept “be the wind,” while ‘N’ stands for ‘naked.’ The number 7 indicates its supposed output class, which is unfortunately not understandable in Filipino speak. Not that it matters, because at the moment, the bike is only available in Europe.

The WN7 boasts an aggressive-looking EV-like design. There’s a stylish light signature up front, bar-end side mirrors up top, and a sleek frame with minimal lines on the panels. It features a black colorway with silver, gray, and bronze accents, and can also be had in an all-black or all-gray finish. There’s also a single-sided swingarm at the rear that adds even more flavor to the look.

It’s not all style here, of course. As mentioned in our previous stories, the Honda WN7 features a fixed lithium-ion battery that supports CCS2 charging, allowing for a 20-80% recharge in just 30 minutes. Home charging is also available—zero to full takes under three hours.
Honda claims performance matches that of 600cc gasoline bikes in terms of output, and even 1,000cc models in terms of torque. This means we’re looking at big-bike levels of power here. Maximum range, meanwhile, is listed at over 130km. That’s more than enough for daily rides, even if your regular commute involves getting in and out of Metro Manila. But again, it doesn’t matter, because we don’t have it in the Philippines...yet.

The Honda WN7 also comes equipped with a five-inch TFT screen that connects to a smartphone via the Honda RoadSync app. Prices have yet to be announced, but for the nth time, it doesn’t matter because we won’t be getting it here...for now.
It might be highly unlikely, but we’re still hoping Honda Philippines would even consider bringing this to our market. Do you guys think this has a shot here in the Philippines?
