KTM will be making a giant, orange splash in the city of Milan, with its presentation at the 110th Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori (EICMA). After a five-year absence at the show, KTM is set to unveil new models and variants for almost all of their lineups, and a slew of tech—including a new transmission system.
Let’s start with the bikes because there are a ton of them.
2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the Duke, and KTM is going to make sure that it is celebrated properly—the 2025 990 Duke R will be at the helm of this presentation, and most likely, KTM’s whole production year. The specifics of the new Duke have yet to be disclosed, but we can only assume that it’s going to be a bigger and badder bike than the current 990.

For the Duke adventurers who need more power, the refreshed 2025 1390 Super Duke R EVO and GT variants will be debuting alongside the 990 Duke R.
The 1390 Super Adventure lineup is also getting a breath of fresh air for 2025. There are currently three models slated to be in Milan: the 1390 Super Adventure R, S, and the S EVO. Little, but still capable brother, 390 Adventure R will also get some spotlight.

On the electric side, the fan-favorite beginner-friendly dirtbikes Freeride E and SX-E are also coming up on stage with new 2025 models.
Staying on the beaten path, the 390 Enduro R and 125 Enduro S will be coming to Milan as well, and that will probably be the only time you’ll see them in pristine condition. Though we’d argue the orange looks better with dirt and mud caked in.

Moving over to the track, novice riders are going to be interested in the new KTM 85 SX, while seasoned racers will be gawking at the KTM 990 RC.
Rounding out the in-depth presentation on bikes are the humble but super 125 and 390 SMC R.
KTM is not stopping at engine upgrades and variations. The Automated Manual Transmission will be making its way to these new bikes. However, the specific bikes have yet to be confirmed. The idea of combining KTM’s powerful engines with an automatic transmission will definitely turn some gearheads, but KTM is promoting a new era of motorcycle technology after all.

Something that orange riders seem to be excited about is the announced new TFT display. The 8.8 inches of screen real estate and touchscreen seem to be getting two thumbs up across the board.
KTM is not done with announcements and releases before EICMA 2024 in November. It seems to be making up for its hiatus in a strong, fast, and extensive fashion. It seems silly to end on this note after a whirlwind of bikes and tech, but do you think KTM is missing something?
