Vespa has just celebrated its 80th anniversary with the Vespa Edizione Ottantesimo. With that, it looks like Vespa Philippines could be joining the celebration with some limited-edition models as well.
Recently, Land Transportation Office homologation papers showed new entries for the Vespa GTS 300 and GTV 300. Specifically, the special-edition GTS 300 Livrea 80th, GTV 300 Officina 8, and GTV 300 Sei Giorno. Just months after launching the Primavera 180 and Sprint 180 at the 2026 Makina Moto Expo, could these new homologations mean a fresh look for Vespa’s local lineup?

Starting with the GTS line, the GTS 300 Livrea 80th is a special-edition package that celebrates Vespa’s 80th anniversary. It includes an exclusive green colorway, retro-inspired wheels, and commemorative badging. Underneath, it still shares the same tech and performance as the standard GTS 300 with a 278cc engine making 23.8hp and 26Nm of torque.

The LTO also showed updated papers for the GTS Super Sport 300 and GTS Super Tech 300. These two should remain the same as the previous year’s model except for minor cosmetic changes and possibly a new colorway. Alternatively, Vespa could surprise us with an updated five-inch TFT instrument panel like what’s found in the Italian market.

Moving on, the GTV 300 Officina 8 is a heritage-edition model with blue paint inspired by the industrial machines in the 1944 Piaggio test center (also known as ‘Officina 8’) in Pontedera, Italy. Other industrial-inspired details include the brass wheels, polished brass rivets, and black brake levers.
Meanwhile, the GTV 300 Sei Giorni is a special-edition model that was originally discontinued in 2022. Nevertheless, it still recently showed up with LTO homologation papers. The Sei Giorni commemorates the 1951 Sei Giorni Internazionale di Varese, a six-day motorcycle endurance race in Varese, Italy, in which Vespa earned nine gold medals. The motorcycle features a matte gray colorway, a racing number ‘6’ graphic, and reduced chrome accents.

The GTV 300 Officina 8 and Sei Giorni both use the same 278cc engine found on the GTS 300 Livrea 80th. In general, the main differences between the GTV and GTS models are the headlight placement, handlebar layout, and the instrument panel. These also play a role in the aesthetics of each of these special-edition models.
The arrival and official prices of these three models have not been confirmed on Vespa’s official website. But if Vespa Philippines does decide to update its lineup with all three, which one would you pick?
