You should be looking at this gallery yesterday, right after our launch story about the 2019 Mitsubishi Strada introduced here in Bangkok, Thailand. But after the formal presentation given by no less than Mitsubishi Motors Corporation CEO Osamu Masuko, the time allotted for taking photos of the Stradas on stage was too short. There were too many people trying to take photos and videos—including a handful of irritating men who kept posing beside the pickups. So we decided not to give you photos full of random strangers.
Thankfully we had another opportunity to give you a better look at Mitsubishi’s new steeds. We know opinion about the refreshed Strada has been (surprisingly) divided, but we like how it looks. Granted, we’ve been fans of the ‘Dynamic Shield’ aesthetic since it was introduced. And we know many agree with our taste, judging by the healthy number of Montero Sports and Xpanders on Philippine roads today.
But our advice is to see the new Strada for yourself before making a final decision. And try it out as well. Among the improvements mentioned during the launch is a better ride, and we’ll find out if that claim is true.
The cabin also has interesting additions, including an air recirculator and multiple USB ports for charging. You might also new notice new trim for the interior.
Do note that these are Thai units, obviously, and that specs may still vary for Philippine models.
