We previously wrote that two new Jaguar Land Rover electric vehicles would be revealed in the Philippines this month. Well, the EVs are here, and it looks like our guesses were right—the newest nameplates are indeed the Jaguar I-Pace and the Range Rover plug-in hybrid EV.
Let’s take a look at the I-Pace first. This is dubbed as Jaguar’s first all-electric vehicle, powered by a 90kWh lithium-ion high-voltage battery. Its setup boasts a total output of 395hp and 696Nm of torque, and power is sent to all four wheels via two electric motors.

This EV also promises a maximum range of 470km on one full charge. Meanwhile, the battery takes 12 hours and 48 minutes to fully recharge using the standard 7kW wall charger. It also sports an 11kW onboard charger that will allow for faster charging in the future.
Other notable features include timed charging, regenerative braking, and vehicle preconditioning. The last one is a function that allows you to warm or cool your cabin to ideal temps before your scheduled trips, providing more comfort and convenience and at the same time optimizing battery performance. Capping off this list of extra niceties is the new Pivi Pro infotainment system.

As far as price goes, the Jaguar I-Pace can now be had for P7,590,000. It comes with an eight-year, 160,000km, and 70% health state warranty. A second charger can also be purchased for P105,000 excluding installation.
What do you think of the newest EV to land on our shores? Are you looking forward to seeing the I-Pace in the metal yourself?
