The Frontier isn’t the only Nissan to get an overhaul today. The Japanese carmaker also revealed the all-new Pathfinder, and boy does it look impressive.

Nissan has dropped the previous-generation model’s slightly curvy physique and instead turned this thing into a rugged-looking machine that definitely looks ready to go off-road. It follows Nissan’s new design language with its signature V-Motion grille flanked by a pair of sleek headlamps up front.

Out back, it gets an equally stylish look highlighted by the large Pathfinder badge, the sizeable taillights, and the robust bumper.

The interior, on the other hand, is as classy as the exterior is rugged. A myriad of dark leather wraps the cabin for an overall premium appeal. It looks as roomy as ever, too, with loads of legroom and storage to go around.

The massive screen on the dash, meanwhile, comes as standard. It’s a nine-inch touchscreen display with both Apple CarPlay (wireless) and Android Auto. There’s also a 12.3-inch digital dashboard and an optional 10.8-inch head-up display to boot.

The new Pathfinder is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that generates 284hp and 351Nm of torque. This is mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox, a setup that’s actually similar to the one fitted in the new Frontier.

And as the recent teasers suggested, the Pathfinder comes with a host of off-road features. It comes equipped with Nissan’s new Intelligent 4WD system with a seven-position Drive and Terrain Mode selector. The modes available are namely: Standard, Sport, Eco, Snow, Sand, Mud/Rut, and Tow. Speaking of tow, this thing also boasts a three-ton maximum towing capacity.

There’s no shortage of safety and driver-assist features here, as the new Pathfinder also has Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 package. Color options, meanwhile, also come in bunches. Nissan says 14 color combinations are offered, five of which are new two-tone treatments.

Unfortunately, as sweet as the Pathfinder looks, there’s little to no chance that we’ll be seeing this launched here, which is a bit of a bummer. But if there was, do you think our market could use an SUV like this?
