The second-generation Honda BR-V has been in the market for quite some time now. The redesigned MPV/crossover made its world debut in September 2021, eventually making its way to the Philippines in November 2022.
So far, time has been kind to the all-new BR-V, serving as the best-selling model of Honda Cars Philippines. But over in Indonesia, the BR-V family is growing.

During the recent Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), Honda introduced a new variant for the BR-V. Dubbed the N7X Edition, it gains several exterior upgrades to give it a more upmarket look.
The name N7X is actually a callback to a past concept model. It was previously used in the concept version of the redesigned BR-V way back in May 2021. This time around, the N7X adds gloss black trims and chrome highlights throughout the body.

At the front, it gains a dark chrome grille with gloss black slats for a sharper look. It then has chrome foglight housing surrounds to complement the black trims. There’s more gloss black finishes throughout the MPV/crossover, namely the lower cladding, wheels, and side mirror caps. It’s all capped off by N7X badges at the front and rear.
Interestingly, the N7X appearance package is available for all variants of the Indonesian-market Honda BR-V. From the base 1.5 E CVT to the Prestige (the equivalent of the VX locally), all the styling upgrades will be applied to the car. Also, there is an exclusive color for this style pack called Sand Khaki Pearl that was first seen in the Japan-market Honda Vezel, known here as the HR-V.

There are no changes under the hood and the rest of the powertrain. The N7X variants all use the familiar 1.5-liter i-VTEC mill that makes 119hp and 145Nm of torque. For those curious, you can get it with a manual transmission, although most variants are equipped with a CVT. As for the odds of it coming here, there might be a chance given that the Philippine-spec BR-Vs are sourced from Indonesia. Sand Khaki Pearl would look great in the local color lineup, we say.
