Way back in January 20, the new Honda HR-V was previewed. While we saw the crossover in the metal, not much was mentioned about specs or pricing. But after a month and a half of waiting, the company has finally revealed it.
With that, we also know some of its specs, as well as the variants for this facelifted version. There’s a major shakeup under the hood, too.

As a brief background, the new HR-V was first revealed in March 2024 in its home market of Japan where it’s called the Vezel. Then, in September 2024, the first batch of Southeast Asian models started rolling out in Thailand. With the official debut coming soon, the Philippines is the first left-hand drive market to get this latest version of the HR-V in the region.

The local-spec Honda HR-V still comes in three variants, namely S, V, and RS. However, the V no longer comes with a turbo, while the RS is exclusively electrified. That means both the S and the V use the familiar 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine. Meanwhile, the RS, now called RS e:HEV, is the first application of the 1.5-liter hybrid powertrain in the Philippine Honda lineup.

Honda Cars Philippines isn’t giving out full details just yet. We’ll have to wait until its official local debut that set for March 9, 2025. What we do know are the power ratings of the new HR-V. For the S and the V, it’s 119hp and 145Nm, the same as all Honda models equipped with a 1.5-liter engine. As for the RS e:HEV, that one has a combined output of 129hp and 253Nm. The S and the V stick with a CVT, while the RS e:HEV comes with an e-CVT system.
It’s also good to know that all the 2025 HR-V variants come with Honda Sensing. It’s the brand’s advanced driver assist system, and includes conveniences such as adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking. It also gets Honda Connect, a system that allows the owner to start, customize, and monitor their vehicle directly via an app.
