After months of reports, spy shots, and speculations, the next-generation Nissan Patrol finally has a launch date. It’s about time, too, as it’s been 14 years since the world last saw an all-new Patrol.

We won’t keep you waiting for much longer. The launch date is set on September 4, 2024. It’s still about a month away at the time of writing, but it’s got us pumped up for it.

The first real teaser of the full-size SUV is in Nissan Dubai’s website. The company will then roll out more as the launch date draws closer. For now, all it’s showing is the outline of the all-new Patrol, as well as its grille.

Based on the shape’s we’re not expecting a radical departure from the soon to be outgoing Patrol. Then again, it’s not much of a surprise since its more luxurious counterpart, the Infiniti QX80, has been around for a couple of months already.

Aside from the grille, we can expect a totally different headlight arrangement for the Patrol compared to the QX80. The North American version, the Armada, could get a different design based on the teaser shown during Nissan’s 1H company report. Interiors might look similar, but that’s still up in the air.

For the engine, it’s likely the same as the Infiniti. If so, the 2025 Nissan Patrol will pack a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 that’s related to the one used in the GT-R. It’s currently mill used in the QX80 and it makes 450hp and 700Nm of torque. That engine is then paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

We’re expecting a slew of off-road hardware and software for this SUV. It is a Patrol, after all, so it better prove itself when the going gets rocky...or muddy.
