The luxury electric vehicle market has been slowly but surely growing in the last few years. Keen to capitalize on that, BMW Philippines has launched yet another EV for the market. The BMW i4 joins the local range, becoming the fourth full electric model available here.
With that, the BMW EV range in the country now consists of the iX3, iX, i7, and this i4. Locally, the i4 is only sold in one variant, the eDrive35.

The i4 uses exactly the same platform as the fuel-fed 4 Series Gran Coupe. There are several styling cues that differentiate is from the 4GC with the blue highlights being the most noticeable. Other exterior differences between the 4GC and i4 include unique alloy wheel designs, more aerodynamically sculpted bumpers, and the distinct lack of exhaust pipes.
Inside, it’s largely the same as the gas-powered model. In turn, the i4 also has the same dash as the 3-Series. There are unique graphics, of course, showing more relevant information about its electric powertrain.

The BMW i4 eDrive35 has a total battery capacity of 70.2kWh, allowing it have a range of up to 483km under WLTP ratings. Meanwhile, its electric motor puts out 286hp and 400Nm of torque, figures once reserved for large V8 engines.
But aside from that, the i4 also brings in a new bit of in-car tech for BMW Philippines. Dubbed Connected Drive, it is essentially an on-board concierge service that helps users in navigation, points of interest, and vehicle servicing.
