2024 has barely started, but Honda is already showing a new model for the 2025 model year, in the US at least. Over there, the company has shown the facelifted Honda Civic with styling tweaks and an optional hybrid powertrain.
Granted, hybrid power has been available in the eleventh-generation Civic from the start, but the US market has yet to get it. That aside, what’s new for ’25? Here are a few highlights.

As it turns out, the Japan-market Civic RS Hatchback already previewed the refreshed model. The If you put the US market sedan and the JDM hatchback, you’ll notice that they have the same front bumper. With that, it seems that it will be the bumper fitted to all, if not most, variants of the Civic.
Slim corner air intakes are part of the 2025 updates, along with a hexagonal center opening on the bumper. The grille opening has also been enlarged, and it seems that select variants will have a honeycomb pattern.

Honda showed the Sport Touring variant in the preview photos, the closest equivalent of the RS for North America. With that, we might see a similar wheel design applied to other markets. However, the Japan market RS Hatchback still retained the same look as the current version. It will be interesting to see which one we get here.
It’s hard to tell if there are any changes at the back, so we’ll have to wait for more photos for now. As for the interior, we’re expecting a few updates here and there, and perhaps some updates to the infotainment system. Powertrain options are expected to be carried over from the current model.
