BMW Philippines continues to expand its hybrid lineup. After bringing in the plug-in hybrid X3 and X5 models, the carmaker has now launched the PHEV version of its smallest SUV, the X1.
The—take a deep breath—new BMW X1 xDrive25e M Sport lands in the market packing a hybrid system that puts out a total of 245hp and 477Nm of torque. It has an electric-only range of 101km and a combined maximum range of 764km. It also does 0-100kph in 6.8sec. The name’s a mouthful, but so are the specs.
The X1’s design has also changed, but it’s not too far off from its predecessor. What’s most noticeable is the removal of the black and gray claddings underneath to make way for more body panels and air ducts. There’s still the kidney grille up front, but that and the headlamps are now cleaner and less sharp, with less corners and a rounder look.

On the inside, there’s a plethora of black leather stitched on the seats, the side panels, and the dash. The highlight here is the BMW Widescreen Display and the iDrive Operating System 9, as well as the new BMW ConnectedDrive which has an integrated data SIM card that enables BMW Live Maps with real-time traffic information and navigation.
The 2026 BMW X1 xDrive25e M Sport is now available with a retail price of P3,998,000. It can be had in Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Space Silver Metallic, M Portimao Blue Metallic, Cape York Green Metallic, or Fire Red Metallic.
