After the flurry of new car and concept reveals at the Japan Mobility Show, Tokyo is gearing up for yet another motor show. Yes folks, it's now the turn of the Tokyo Auto Salon, and it opens its doors on January 2024.

Tokyo Auto Salon shows the wilder side of Japanese car culture as it serves as an exhibition of tuned road cars and various race cars. Of course, manufacturer representation is strong too. One of those bringing a whole squad of cars to the show is Honda.

Honda WR-V Field Explorer Concept

First up, the WR-V. The subcompact crossover gets a tougher and chunkier look for the show, highlighting its more adventurous side. Dubbed the Field Explorer concept, it gets a blacked out grille with classic lettering, yellow lights, and even a roof rack. The little crossover even rocks all-terrain tires because, well, why not?

Honda Accord Sports Line

Up next is the Honda Accord Sports Line. The Accord may be an executive car but Honda wanted to show that its large sedan still has a more fun side. The parts fitted to the model will eventually make its way to production, says the company.

Honda Civic Type R Group B

The third one is a bit of a surprise. Yes, it's a Civic Type R, but it's a more focused, race track version of the hot hatchback. It's called the Civic Type R Group A and Group B, it appears to be a customer version of the race car that the company uses in the Super Taikyu series. Honda is tight-lipped about details at the moment, but probably as close as anyone can get to buying a Civic race car, provided they have deep pockets.

Honda S800

There are other cars that are set to be displayed, too. For starters, Honda is bringing out one of its race-prepped S800s for the show, along with the Civic Type R Super GT racer. If that's not enough, the dominant Red Bull RB19 will be there for all to see.

So, if you're a Honda fan with cash to spare and a valid Japanese Visa, dropping by the Tokyo Auto Salon is a must. We're pretty sure it'll be worth the visit.
