Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda has always maintained a strong social media presence over the years. You’ll often see the vocalist post about his family, his gigs, and even his business ventures outside of the music scene.
Over the weekend, though, Chito went viral for an entirely different reason: His wife Neri surprised him with a brand-new Toyota Hilux for his birthday. If we’re guessing this correctly, this could be the Hilux 2.8 Conquest 4x4 AT variant that costs just a smidge under P2 million.

In the video that Neri posted on her Instagram account, she told Chito how she saved up for the pickup and assured her husband that he didn’t have to pay for anything.
Chito’s post on social media reads: “Niregaluhan ako ni Neri ng bagong sasakyan.
Alam nya kasi na gusto ko talaga magkaroon ng pickup truck pero di ako bumibili kasi gusto ko unahin yung income-generating investments.
“Kumbaga, oks lang ako magtiis sa lumang sasakayan at gamitin yung pera ko on things thay will make me more money, instead of buying myself a new car. Delayed gratification.
“Since alam nya na hindi akoc bibili ng sasakyan para sa sarili ko, kahit gaano ko pa kagusto magka-pickup, ang ginawa niya, siya nalang ang bumili for me.
“Ako ang tunay na #WaisNaMister.”
Well, we can’t argue with that one.
