Since the ‘80s, there has always been one Ferrari hypercar that defines the decade. In the ‘80s, it was the F40, and it was followed up by the F50 in the ‘90s.
The Enzo was the top Ferrari of the ‘00s, while the LaFerrari ushered in electrification for the prancing horse in the 2010s. Now that we’re in the 2020s, that role has now been taken over by the F80.

The Ferrari F80 made its world premiere on October 17, 2024. Less than a month after that, it has made its way to Southeast Asia. Revealed during the Universo Ferrari experience held from November 21 to 24, the latest Ferrari hypercar will soon be ready to be delivered to its hand-picked customers worldwide. With that, there's no point barging into your nearest Ferrari dealer (there’s only one here, anyway) demanding you want one, even if you have the cash.
Production of the Ferrari F80 will commence by 2025, but the Italian automaker already has earmarked all of the 799 units it will build. There’s no exact price tag mentioned as each car will be bespoke, but it’s estimated that we’re looking at a base figure of $3.9-M or about P230,000,000 at current conversion rates.

According to Enrico Galleria, chief marketing and commercial officer of Ferrari, the F80 that went on display is the same one that has been making rounds in Europe and vigorously tested around Ferrari’s test track in Fiorano. And yes, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr. drove that exact same car. If you need more proof of that, check out the video below.
We’re not doubting Ferrari’s claim of the F80 being the most powerful road car it’s ever built. Its 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine alone puts out 888hp and 850Nm, while the dual electric motors adds 296hp. All in all, the F80 punches out 1,184hp, 234hp more than the LaFerrari.

Other highlights? It’s the first Ferrari to use e-turbo technology, and the engine is derived from the 499P endurance race car. The F80 also holds the distinction of being the first flagship hypercar to have all-wheel drive thanks to its electric motors. The result of that grip and power is a 0 to 100kph time of just 2.1 seconds, blows past 200kph in 5.7 seconds, and keeps on going until 350kph.
With stats like that, one can say that it’s Ferrari’s fitting 80th birthday present for itself.
