If you find the F-150 a tad too tame, but are unwilling to make the jump to a full-fledged performance beast like the Raptor, Ford has a solution for you.
This is the Ford F-150 RTR—a more intimidating version of the American car manufacturer’s long-running full-size pickup. It builds on the stock F-150 experience with components courtesy of aftermarket specialist RTR Vehicles, and comes as an option across the entire F-150 range in the US.
“Ford’s iconic F-150 has evolved into so much more than just a pickup truck, with diverse capability on and off road, great technology integration, serious towing capability and an interior that makes any travel with friends and family very comfortable,” says Vaughn Gittin Jr., president of RTR Vehicles.
“The goal was to take the already impressive capabilities of the F-150 and enhance the owner and driving experience whether on or off-road.”
There’s not much here in terms of performance upgrades (it does get Fox 2.0 performance coilovers, though), but the aesthetic add-ons are relatively worthwhile. There’s a new upper grille with LED lighting, RTR fender flares, a Ford Performance cat-back exhaust, and 20-inch RTR Tech 6 wheels with 295/55 R20 Nitto Ridge Grappler tires.
It also features RTR badging, black lug nuts, RTR floor liners, and an RTR graphics package. Capping the package is a serialized dash plaque signed by Vaughn Gittin Jr.
The Ford F-150 RTR package starts at $12,750 (around P660,000). Do you think the visual upgrade is worth that kind of money, or would you rather go all-out and buy a Raptor?
