Ford’s Philippine lineup can easily divided into two. On one side, there’s the mainstream stuff with the Territory, Ranger, and Everest. There’s also the niche side of things with the Bronco, Mustang, and Explorer.
Now, it seems that there will be another addition for the niche models. A look at the Land Transportation Office’s memorandum circulars, the Ford Mustang Mach-E has just received its homologation papers.

More interestingly, there are two papers for the electric Mustang crossover. The first is the Mach-E Premium, while the second is the GT. Should it be sold here, the Premium serves as the entry-level variant and the GT is touted as the high-performance model.
Based on manufacturer specifications, the Premium uses a 91kWh battery pack with a single electric motor. It’s rear wheel drive and puts out 290hp and 525Nm with 610km of range. The GT adds an additional motor and all-wheel drive. It still uses the same 91kWh battery pack, but power rises to 480hp and 815Nm with a range of 500km.

Does this mean the Mach-E is coming to the country? Perhaps in one way or another and not necessarily through official channels. That said, Ford Philippines could explore that possibility and kick off an entirely new niche of customers for the brand.
But should the it be officially be sold here, we at least know what possible variants might come here. The Ford Mustang Mach-E’s potential rivals here include the Tesla Model Y and Hyundai Ioniq 5, both in standard and high-performance guises.
