Ford Philippines is beefing up its pickup stable by offering its best-selling Ranger in a new 4x4 variant.
Say hello to the Ford Ranger XLS Sport, an upgraded version of the truck’s XLS trim. The vehicle is powered by the same 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine capable of 158hp and 385Nm of torque mated to a six-speed manual transmission, but comes with a few aesthetic and convenience upgrades.
The first change you might notice is that the XLS Sport rides on new 17-inch alloy wheels. It also ditches the stock rear bumper and front grille in favor of glossy black ones. Finally, this Ranger variant gets step boards for easier ingress and egress.
The Ford Ranger XLS Sport can be had in five colors: Arctic White, Absolute Black, Aluminum Metallic, Meteor Grey, and True Red. It’s also available in both 4x2 and 4x4 form. Below are the prices:
“The new Ranger XLS Sport is definitely a welcome addition to our already extensive Ranger lineup in the country, catering to customers with more utilitarian needs,” Ford Philippines assistant vice president of marketing Ryan Lorenzo says in a statement.
“It remains one of the most powerful and performance-bred pickup trucks in the market today with a more striking and recognizable exterior while still retaining the same Built Ford Tough features that our customers have grown to love,” Lorenzo added.
The Ford Ranger XLS Sport will be available at showrooms starting June 21, 2019. Interested?
