We’re starting to see an influx of pickup trucks from China. So far, we’ve seen several interesting propositions. Some are powered by traditional diesel, while others use range extenders or plug-in hybrid systems. We’re even seeing a few electrics here and there.
One example of an electric pickup from China is the Geely Riddara RD6. It’s been shown in its home market already, but it’s now made its regional premiere in Thailand. With that, we also have the full specs for Geely’s first-ever pickup.

Of course, the highlight here is the powertrain. The Riddara RD6 has three battery pack options available. The entry-level model comes with a 63kWh pack, while mid-spec models come with 73kWh batteries. As for the top-spec model, it has a battery capacity of 86kWh.
The 63kWh model only comes with two-wheel drive. Meanwhile, the 73kWh version can be specified with either two-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. As for the 86kWh model, it only comes with all-wheel drive.

For power, the base model makes 268hp and 385Nm of torque. It’s said to hit 100kph in 7.3 seconds and can get up to 373km on a single charge. The two-wheel drive 73kWh model accelerates at the same rate but range is boosted to 461km.
Moving up to the all-wheel drive models, the 73kWh 4WD and 86kWh 4WD gain an extra motor to crank the power up to 428hp and 595Nm. Those figures are good enough for a 0 to 100kph time of just 4.5 seconds. Range per full charge is 424km for the 73kWh and 455km for the 86kWh. Charging times for all range from 30 to 35 minutes from 30 to 80 percent (100kw DC charging).

For dimensions, the Riddara RD6 is 5,260mm long, 1,900mm wide, 1,880mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,120mm. For the more important matter of bed size, it measures 1,525mm long, 1,450mm wide, and 540mm tall. Ground clearance is 225mm, while Geely Riddara claims a wading capacity of 815mm. In terms of payload capacity, it tops out at 865kg.
