The fully electric GWM Ora 5 inches closer to the Philippines, as reservation books have seemingly been opened. Interested buyers can head to GWM Philippines’ official website to check out the EV’s preliminary specifications and file a “reservation inquiry.”

We’re not sure whether the latter makes for an official order, but the listing does give us a clearer picture of what to expect. Off the bat, it is a similar configuration to what we previously saw at the 2026 Bangkok International Motor Show.

It also looks like the Ora 5 will be offered in a single variant, featuring GWM’s Coffee Pilot Ultra advanced driving assists, supported by LiDAR and artificial intelligence. With that, the EV will come standard with a 58.3kWh battery, which should be good for 580km of driving.

Specific power outputs are 198hp and 260Nm of torque delivered via a front-mounted motor and a single-speed transmission. Inside, drivers and passengers can expect a 14.6-inch main display and a panoramic glass roof that stretches throughout the cabin. This is all packed into a compact crossover frame that utilizes two-tone 18-inch rollers.

According to GWM, the Ora 5 measures 4,471mm long, 1,833mm wide, and 1,641mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,720mm. That puts it in the same size class as the Toyota Corolla Cross and the BYD Atto 3.

Prices have yet to be revealed, as well as the crossover’s official release date. We can expect more information as the year continues, along with the incoming launches of the Haval H7 and the Tank 700.
