Safety has always been a focal point for Honda in building its cars. You wouldn’t even need to look far to realize that—if you check out the models in Honda Cars Philippines’ (HCPI) lineup, you’ll see that most of them have been equipped with the latest Honda Sensing safety features.

Now, the carmaker has upgraded yet another one of its offerings with more safety tech: the City Hatch. HCPI has just confirmed that the new five-door City is on its way to the Philippines, and that from today until June 13, it will accept pre-orders for it and will waive the P5,000 reservation fee for the said duration. Image pricing is listed at P1.194 million, which is a little over the SRP of the outgoing model.

The City Hatch’s new arsenal will include adaptive cruise control, a collision mitigation braking system, lane-keep assist, road departure mitigation with lane-departure warning, and lead car departure notification. The new City Hatch will also get an eight-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

No changes to what’s under the hood, however, so you’ll still get the same 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder gasoline engine that churns out 119hp and 145Nm and is mated to a CVT. HCPI has added a new color to the lineup, though: Sonic Gray Pearl.

Again, HCPI will be waiving the P5,000 reservation fee for all customers who pre-order the new City Hatch until June 13. We’ll be sharing with you more details as soon as we have them, so watch this space.
