If you follow us on Facebook, you know that we drove today the new Ford Focus sedan and hatchback, a pair of refreshed versions first unveiled to Asia in Shanghai back in April. And if you do see our Facebook posts, surely you've also seen our videos showing a demo of the car's Enhanced Active Park Assist, as well as a lap around a makeshift circuit.
The new Focus is powered by a 1.5-liter EcoBoost turbocharged gasoline engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission (yep, no stick-shift option). Don't let the small displacement discourage you--this motor is rated at 178hp and 240Nm.
We'll do a more comprehensive piece on the technical specs and features of the revised Focus, but in the meantime, we'd like to share with you the official prices of Ford Philippines' latest offerings:
* 1.5L Focus GTDI EcoBoost Sport+ AT (hatchback) - P1,278,000
* 1.5L Focus GTDI EcoBoost Titanium+ AT (sedan) - P1,278,000
* 1.5L Focus GTDI EcoBoost Sport AT (hatchback) - P1,088,000
* 1.5L Focus GTDI EcoBoost Titanium AT (sedan) - P1,088,000
You'll notice that the "Sport" trims correspond to the hatchback, while the "Titanium" trims refer to the sedan. We'll list down the differences between the two variants (standard and plus) in a separate article.
You'll also note that the sedan and the hatchback are priced the same. Traditionally, it's the hatchback that usually costs more than the sedan.
Available colors for the hatchback are Frozen White, Panther Black, Ingot Silver, Candy Red, Winning Blue and Mustard Olive. Colors for the sedan, meanwhile, are Frozen White, Panther Black, Ingot Silver, Candy Red, Magnetic Metallic and Lunar Sky.
Check out the new Focus at a Ford showroom near you. Better yet, schedule a test drive. This baby is packed with enough tech features to shame an iPhone.
