Not content with making us put colons in the names of its electric models and tech (N-One e: will never not be awkward in our eyes), Honda is now having us find keyboard shortcuts for Greek characters.

This is the Honda 0 α, which we’ll just style as Honda 0 Alpha to avoid intricate finger maneuvers. It’s the latest model in the Japanese carmaker’s 0 Series of vehicles built on a dedicated EV architecture and wearing the brand’s vintage-style badge. Unlike the preceding 0 Saloon and 0 SUV, which made their concept and production debuts at the Consumer Electronics Show in the US, it makes its first stage appearance at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show.

The Alpha is being positioned as the ‘gateway’ to the 0 Series, with a similarly aero-focused shape and spacious cabin dictated by the ‘Thin, Light, and Wise’ approach. It’s smaller than the 0 SUV and is intended for mixed urban and out-of-town use. The product literature says it has a “low vehicle height [that] was achieved without compromising ground clearance,” with a “wide stance [that expresses] stability and dynamic characteristics.”

We only have info on the exterior at this point. Of note, screens on both ends of the vehicle house various elements—headlights, the charging lid, and the emblem up front, with the rear screen bordered on three sides by a U-shaped lighting element that integrates the taillights, the reversing light, and the turn signals.

There are no other specs at the moment, but as with its two other 0 siblings, multimedia and connectivity should be powered by Asimo OS. And although it looks a lot more futuristic than the Hondas we currently see on our roads, it’s joining those cars—at least in select markets—very soon, with sales scheduled to start in Japan and India in 2027. More as we have it.
