Back in 2022, All British Cars ended the year with the launch ofthe new eight-seater, diesel-powered Defender. Now, the company is closing out 2023 on a similar note, as it has officially unveiled yet another new Defender—but this time with a screaming new V8 under its hood.
Okay, so let’s go straight to talking about that powertrain. That 5.0-liter V8 churns out a healthy 518hp at 6,000-6,500rpm and 625Nm of torque at 2,500-5,500rpm. And because this is a Defender, we’re pretty keen on lap times, right? WIth this setup, the Defender 90 does 0-100kph in 5.2sec, while the 110 is slightly slower to 5.4sec. Top speed, meanwhile, is 240kph.

Now, the Defender V8 does look basically the same as the ‘regular’ Defender, although with a few key changes here and there. For starters, there are quad exhaust pipes at the rear which, by the way, sound absolutely glorious. It also sits on 22-inch alloy wheels which hide the black performance brake calipers.
The exact unit unveiled during the launch was the Defender 110 V8 Carpathian Edition, to be exact, and it gets a bespoke accessory pack that includes a chequer plate protection kit, front and rear mud flaps, a front undershield, and fixed Shadow Atlas side steps.

Standard amenities in the Defender V8 also include an electronic air suspension setup, a panoramic moonroof, an 11.4-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Land Rover’s newest addition to its lineup can now be had for P17.79 million. The aforementioned Carpathian Edition with all its accessories costs P18.55 million. You can check out more photos of it below.
