We've all seen the Lexus LF-NX concept in photos, so we all already know that it looks radical (and that's putting it mildly). But I assure you that photos do not do justice to the otherworldliness of this concept midsize crossover. Nothing can and will prepare you for the visual assault that will take place once you lay your eyes on this thing up close. It's like meeting Darth Vader in person and realizing he's about to behead you with his lightsaber. It's that menacing.
I mean, seriously, look at these pictures. My Canon G11 nearly shattered its lens capturing these images. The LF-NX has so many pointy elements that the observer almost feels like he's being impaled as he stares at them. I still haven't decided if I like this design. It's too futuristic for our present time, and it's probably too aggressive for most people. Even the spindle grille has been made to look like a deadly weapon. At least we can't say Lexus designers are slacking.
Next to the LF-NX, even the GT-R Nismo that Nissan showed off at its booth would look pedestrian. We thus crown this Lexus concept with the "Most Outrageous Car Design at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show" award.
Congratulations, Lexus. Just try to tone down a few of the styling elements should you decide to produce this.
