Lexus has just dropped a teaser for its next vehicle, and thankfully, we won’t have to wait too long to find out what it is. Scheduled to be revealed on May 6 in the United States, or May 7 in the Philippines, many speculate that this could turn out to be the famed Lexus TZ.
For the uninitiated, the TZ has been hyped up to be the first fully electric three-row SUV from the brand. While these are all rumors, they are reinforced by the fact that Toyota recently released its own full-size electric crossover in the all-new Highlander.

This new SUV could essentially take the bones from Toyota’s Highlander and give it the Lexus treatment—much like the Land Cruiser and the LX. If that is to be the case, then we’ll see a new three-row Lexus that surpasses the RZ in size and power.

To be exact, the Highlander makes 338hp and up to 268Nm of torque on its front motor, and 169Nm on its rear. Buyers in America can also configure their Highlander as a six- or seven-seater, and these options could very well make their way to Lexus.
Given that the brand’s recent releases have been sedans, it will be interesting to see what Lexus does with a bigger frame. While these new models have yet to debut in the country, we can likely expect more announcements as the 10th Philippine International Motor Show approaches. But before we get there, mark your calendars for May 7, 10am.
