The Lexus RZ350e has appeared on the Land Transportation Office’s website accompanied by homologation papers. With specifications closely comparable to the RZ300e, could this potential newcomer be an addition to the RZ lineup or a replacement for the current base model?
The RZ 350e shares identical looks and dimensions to both the RZ300e and RZ450e in our market. It still features Lexus’ Next Chapter design language, with slim headlights, sharp angles, and a ‘Spindle Body’ front fascia. Like the two other RZ variants, the 350e measures 4,805mm long, 1,635mm tall, and 1,895mm wide, with a wheelbase of 2,850mm.

Powering the fully electric SUV is a permanent-magnet synchronous motor hooked to a 74.69kWh battery. It sends 224hp and 269Nm of torque to the front wheels and can go from 0 to 100kph in 7.5 seconds. According to LTO papers, the maximum range is listed at 600km.

Using a DC fast charger, the battery can recharge from 10% to 80% in around 28 minutes. With a home AC charger, you can top off the battery from 10% to a full charge in three hours and 30 minutes.

Both the RZ300e and RZ350e are front-wheel-drive entry-level grades of the RZ line. Comparing the two, the RZ350e has the edge with a larger battery capacity, around 23 more horsepower, faster AC charging, and an overall newer package.
How much? Well, there’s no official announcement from Lexus Philippines on whether this new variant will reach our shores, but with the RZ300e priced at P4,358,000 and the RZ450e stickering for P5,238,000, we would guess somewhere in the middle but closer to the RZ300e’s current price.
What do you think of this potential upcoming SUV? Do you think it makes a good middle ground between the two current models in our market, or would it be better as an updated base model?
