Earlier this month, we reported that Mazda will reveal the sedan version of the all-new Mazda 2 at the 2014 Thailand International Motor Expo. While that event is only a few days away, the Japanese carmaker has chosen to reveal the car ahead of its global debut.
According to Mazda, the all-new 2 compact sedan "features handsome proportions and bold styling, a high-quality, sporty interior, and a combination of excellent driving performance and outstanding environmental and safety performance."
Like the 2 hatchback, the 2 sedan will be offered with the Skyactiv-D 1.5-liter clean diesel engine. Both models will reportedly go on sale in Thailand in early 2015. The all-new Mazda 2 is also the carmaker's entry into the second phase of Thailand's Eco Car program.
