Keen to further boost its electrified lineup, Mercedes-Benz has added yet another electric vehicle to the local lineup. The company has launched the new EQE SUV, further expanding the electric SUV lineup in the country.
Available locally in one variant, the local-spec Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV comes with the AMG Line package for a sportier look. It also serves as the largest EV crossover in the range, at least until the EQS SUV is sold here.

It rides on Mercedes-Benz’s dedicated EV platform, sharing the same underpinnings as the EQE and EQS. Its body shares nothing with the other midsize Mercedes-Benz crossover, the GLE, as it has a more aerodynamically-enhanced design. As it comes with the AMG Line, it has a sportier front bumper and 21-inch alloy wheels.
There are a couple of notable exterior features worth mentioning. The first is the flush door handles that further increases the EQE SUV’s aerodynamic efficiency. It also has the black panel grille that’s adorned with a series of three-dimensional star pattern. Finally, the Digital Light with Ultra Range high beam gives better visibility in the dark.

Inside, the occupants are greeted by the MBUX Hyperscreen. It spans nearly the entire width of the dashboard and stretches up to 56 inches. The Hyperscreen integrates the passenger side screen, central infotainment, and the instrument cluster all in one. It also comes with AI technology for a more personalized user experience, at least that’s what Mercedes-Benz says.
It has the advanced driver assist systems one expects from a luxury vehicle. It comes with the driver assistance package, along with a heads-up display.

Powering the EQE SUV is a single motor that makes 288hp and 565Nm of torque. It boasts an estimated range of 536 to 628 kilometers on a single charge based on WLTP cycles. Charging up the motor is a lithium-ion battery that has a capacity of up to 96 kilowatt hours and can be charged with power of 170 kilowatts with the onboard DC fast charging system.
Now available in the Philippines, the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV starts at P7,190,000.
