MG Philippines has just previewed its newest hybrid crossover, the ZS HEV. Currently on display at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show, the ZS HEV is the third crossover in the ZS lineup and its first one with an electrified powertrain.
Once released, this should go head-to-head with the likes of the Toyota Yaris Cross HEV, and the Honda HR-V RS e:HEV. Prices have yet to be announced, as well as an official release date.

The MG ZS HEV combines a 1.5-liter engine and an electric motor, which is powered by a 1.83kWh battery. That hybrid powertrain makes for 196hp and 250Nm of torque, when working in tandem. MG has not shared details about its driving range, however, it is advertised to average 25km/L in regular driving conditions.
Aside from the new powertrain, the ZS HEV also introduces a refreshed design language to the ZS lineup. The fascia has been restructured to look sharper and give a more sporty impression than its predecessors. The sharper shape is complemented by thinner headlights and a similarly angled front bumper. There are also new 18-inch wheels that further enforce the sportier look.

The cabin also gets a new look with dual screens and a sunroof tying the interior together. A 12.3-inch display serves as the main infotainment display, while drivers get a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. A 360-degree camera system feeds into these screens and supports the latest version of MG Pilot—the brand’s advanced driver-assistance system. That comes loaded adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, traffic jam assist, and other safety features.
