The 2025 Japan Mobility Show is in full swing, and as Mitsubishi Motors has teased, it has unveiled its newest concept vehicle at this year’s show. Meet the Elevance Concept.
This is an electrified crossover that’s “designed to elevate the quality of time spent inside the vehicle.” On the outside, it follows Mitsubishi’s current Dynamic Shield design language, with the front fascia shaped similarly to that of the XForce and Destinator.
On the inside, the Elevance Concept does look like something you’d be happy to be in for hours on end. There are comfortable-looking quilted-leather seats with quirky-looking headrests and bulky side bolsters. What’s interesting here is that the cabin is modular, as the front-row seats can be adjusted to face the back and create a communal space for all six passengers.
The interior is also very simply styled with flat, smooth surfaces with minimal accents, but at the same time, it has a very high-tech feel to it. Large screens and touch panels can be found inside. The Elevance Concept makes use of an AI co-driver displayed on the LCD screen embedded in the steering wheel and the instrument cluster, further previewing what the future driving experience might be like.

Mitsubishi created the Elevance with the theme ‘Forever Adventure’ and conceptualized it with a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. The PHEV system features an engine that can run on carbon-neutral fuel and a large-capacity traction battery that can power both the vehicle and the ‘hotel trailer’ for luxurious camping activities. The Elevance also utilizes a quad-motor four-wheel-drive setup and is equipped with Mitsubishi’s Super-All Wheel Control technology.

This may not be the next-generation Montero Sport or all-new Pajero that many of us have been waiting for, but this is still a peek at Mitsubishi’s future. And it looks exciting.
