The Delica is easily one of the most beloved vehicles to roll out of a Mitsubishi factory. That said, it’s been a while since the model has been relevant to markets outside Japan. This might no longer be the case in a couple of years, though.
An all-new Delica might be coming sooner than you think. It could potentially be among several “new or completely refreshed” vehicles the brand has announced for release in North America between 2026 and 2030.
Mitsubishi also released a teaser photo with its announcement, and at the center of it is what many believe to be the next-generation Delica. Granted, it’s about as vague as teasers come, but the vehicle is the only one shown that isn’t a crossover or SUV. It’s clearly a small van.

What will the all-new Delica look like? Nothing’s set in stone yet, but we think the Mitsubishi D:X concept car shown at last year’s Japan Mobility Show should give eager fans some idea of what to expect. Frankly, the T-shaped headlights in the teaser are a dead giveaway.
Oh, and expect an all-new Delica to run on either a hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or battery electric powertrain in line with Mitsubishi’s “Momentum 2030” electrification plans. Given that this model was shown to North American audiences makes us hopeful for a left-hand drive version, too.
A futuristic design and an emissions-free drive are all good, but we’re hoping for a versatile package in a compact form factor. If Mitsubishi can tick these two boxes, there should be very little to complain about. So, what are your expectations for the next-generation Mitsubishi Delica?
