The Renault Nissan Mitsubishi Alliance doesn't shy away from the fact that all three companies share most of each other's parts. After all, it's the main reason why these automakers got together in order to spread costs.
More recently, we're seeing more synergy from the three companies. One primary example is with its crossovers. The Renault Austral, Mitsubishi Outlander, and Nissan X-Trail all share the same bones. But their cooperation (and coordination) goes far beyond that.

The three automakers also, um, change the badges of each other's cars from time to time. Case in point, the Renault Clio lends itself to Mitsubishi as the revived Colt. Now, there's another Renault model that will soon wear Mitsubishi badges.
There's no name for it just yet, but the upcoming Mitsubishi model will essentially be the Renault Scenic. The Scenic used to be the French automaker's small MPV, but it has been transformed into a yet another crossover.

Should this be a straight rebadge job, then we shouldn't see much differences between it and the Renault version. The powertrain options in the future Mitsubishi crossover are also likely to be shared with the Scenic. That means it's a purely electric affair with various battery and motor configurations that add power and/or range.
Numbers, you ask? The entry-level version makes 170hp and 280Nm of torque, while the range-topped puts out 220hp and 300Nm of torque. The base model has an estimated range of 420 kilometers, while the more powerful version with its larger battery packs can get up to 610 kilometers on a single charge.
That said, it seems like this Mitsubishi model might be a European market special. It will reportedly be assembled at Renault's plant in Douai, located in Northern France. There was no mention of export plans outside the Old Continent, but we're not totally counting out plans for other regions.
Per Mitsubishi, the new Renault-derived electric crossover will be released sometime in the first quarter of 2024.
