Have you been waiting for the Nissan Magnite to finally land in the ASEAN market, too? Well, it appears our speculations from a week ago were right, as Nissan has now officially launched the new subcompact crossover in Indonesia.
Now, we’ve seen a lot of this vehicle before already back when it was first launched in India, so we’ll skip the part where we talk about its styling because it looks basically the same. Let’s head on over to what’s under the hood and all the tech this Indonesia-spec model packs.
The new Nissan Magnite comes with a familiar 1.0-liter turbopetrol that generates 99hp and 160Nm of torque mated to either a five-speed manual or an X-TRONIC CVT. Extra features include a seven-inch TFT instrument panel, an eight-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Safety tech, meanwhile, are in abundance as well. There’s an 360-degree view monitor, ABS with EBD, hydraulic brake assist, vehicle dynamic control, traction control system, and hill-start assist, among many others.
As for its pricing, the Magnite starts at 208,800,000 Indonesian Rupiah, or just a little over P700,000 in local currency—that’s an incredibly measly price tag when compared to other crossovers in our market. Of course, if it does end up making its way here, don’t expect it to carry the exact same price tag as this one.
