Believe it or not, Nissan has been in the country for 55 years. It’s a huge milestone, so it’s timely that the Japanese automaker celebrated it during this year’s running Manila International Auto Show.
Of course, it’s the all-new Patrol that took center stage. It is the flagship vehicle, after all. But alongside it were a pair of neat retro-themed models. In this case, it’s a Nissan Navara and Terra that get old-school inspired bits and sweet accessories.

For the Navara, there’s a neat nudge bar at the front and a pair of PIAA driving lights mounted on them. It then gets all-terrain tires and a set of Black Rhino alloys all around. Completing the look is a graphics package that looks straight out of the ‘80s. Oh, and there’s a 55th Anniversary decal on the tailgate.

Moving to the Terra, the sticker pack is a little more subtle compared to its pickup counterpart. Like the Navara, the 55th Anniversary Terra gets Black Rhino wheels shod in all-terrain tires. But what caught our attention was the unique grille treatment. The PIAA driving lights were neatly integrated in them, almost looking like an original factory piece.
Powertrain is untouched here, so it's the same 2.5-liter turbodiesel unit. Power remains ar 190hp and 450Nm. Both utilize a six-speed automatic transmission.

So, when will Nissan bring these out? In case you missed the headline, these are sadly one-off models only. Still, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that the company reverses that decision and even get some support from the regional office to make it a real thing
Pretty please, Nissan?
