The Nissan X-Trail is scheduled for a comprehensive facelift, and key among its suspected updates is a new Nismo variant. This comes after a report from Creative Trend described what the new X-Trail Nismo could be outfitted with.
On the exterior, the X-Trail Nismo will receive a redesigned grille, with complementing front and rear bumpers and side skirts. Under the metal, Nismo has upgraded the suspension and modified the X-Trail’s e-4ORCE drive system.

However, the report did not mention whether any tweaks will be made to the X-Trail’s e-Power hybrid system. If kept standard, the 1.5-liter hybrid engine will produce stock numbers of around 200hp and 300Nm of torque. Overall, its drive and feel should still be different, especially with new Nismo 20-inch wheels and special EV tires from Michelin.

Moving inside, the X-Trail Nismo will come in two variants, the higher-grade X and base-level G. However, the report states that a total of four X-Trail Nismo configurations will be released, with varying material choices and driving-assistance options in between them.

These trims can be opted with Recaro seats for the driver and front passenger, along with Alcantara finishes throughout the cabin. However, all variants should have Nismo branding, with red stitching and accents across the seats and other surfaces.
The X-Trail Nismo is also expected to be offered in six colorways, including the famous Nismo Stealth Gray. That will be finished with a black, two-tone roof and those other Nismo designs that were previously mentioned. Other colors include Prism White Pearl—with the option for a black two-tone roof—Diamond Black Pearl, Dark Metal Gray, and Cardinal Red.
Nissan is expected to make the official announcement tomorrow, August 21, 2025, with official prices and release dates. Stay tuned for the latest updates.
