We suspect the last thing the buyer of a £2-million (P127.4 million) hypercar needs is free fuel. But the lucky blighters who’ve ordered a Pininfarina Battista are about to get exactly that.
Yep. Sink that eye-watering sum into a 1,900hp electric hypercar, get charging at 115,000 ChargePoint sockets across the US and Europe thrown in. For five years. Via 180kW DC charging, the Battista can go leap from 20% to 80% battery charge level in 25 minutes.
Mind you, the chance of one of these being hooked up idly on the street between a Leaf and an e-Golf is probably slim. And so Pininfarina has another new offering, too: a bespoke wallbox to install at home, color-matched to your 12-sec-to-300kph supercar.
Okay, the electricity won’t come for free here, and this being a 22kW AC charger, a charge will also take longer—reaching 100% takes up to six hours if you want the full 500km range when you leave the house. But, you know. It’s color-matched...
