Rox, one of the newest brands to come out of China, has just set up shop along EDSA-Greenhills in San Juan. There, it reintroduced the 01 SUV, which first made its Philippine debut in September 2024.
With a brand-new facility, Rox Motor Philippines and its official distributor, Transcorp, aim to efficiently grow operations around the country. The pair announced that they will soon start construction on a dealership in Iloilo, while continuing to build on the 01’s momentum.

Positioned as an all-terrain, luxury vehicle, the 01 follows a “One Living Room, One Bedroom, One Kitchen” design language, which should resonate with outdoorsmen and others with dynamic lifestyles. The vehicle’s software features multiple modes for camping and a specific alarm for the sunrise.

Attached to the 01’s dual-motor all-wheel-drive system is a range-extended powertrain, comprising a 58.4kWh battery and a 1.5-liter turbocharged generator. Power outputs are rated at 469hp and 740Nm of torque, with a 0-100kph sprint at about 5.5sec. Driving range is advertised at over 1,100km, with 235km on just the battery.

At the new showroom, visitors can check out the seven-seater Sport and Luxury trims, and the six-passenger VIP Luxury trim of the 01. All are outfitted with a 2.2kW external power supply—again, for those who camp—and 20-inch all-terrain wheels.
In 2024, the 01 was launched with a P4.288 million price tag, but it is unclear if costs have increased over the past two years. We’ll keep you posted once we get word on this.
