In 2025, Toyota offices in the Middle East opened order forms for the Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid—an electrified variant of the 300-Series and the most powerful production version of the famed SUV to date.
Since then, rumors have been circulating about a Philippine release. After all, we do have the second-biggest allotment of Land Crusiers in the world—second to the Middle East. The plot thickened when the Land Transportation Office published homologation papers for the 300’s little electrified brother, the hybrid Land Cruiser Prado.

And today, speculation has increased even more as the Department of Energy has added the Land Cruiser Hybrid to its list of recognized electric vehicles. The initial specs line up with what was released in the Middle East, but the full sheet is locked behind a login from Toyota Motor Philippines.

To jog your memory, this electrified LC packs a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 that generates 457hp and 790Nm of torque. The hybrid component uses a 1.87kWh battery, with the powertrain mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Again, this is the most powerful production Land Cruiser.
If you’re too excited to wait, you can experience this powertrain on the Lexus LX700h, which is already available. However, with the Philippine International Motor Show coming up, we may not be waiting too long for another intriguing debut from Toyota.
